Abramelin Oil

Abramelin Oil

Abramelin Oil is a ceremonial magickal oil first described in a medieval grimoire called The Book of Abramelin written by Abraham the Jew and based on the Jewish Holy anointing oil of the Tanakh, found in the Book of Exodus.

Abramelin Oil is probably the ultimate consecration oil for occultists and ritual magicians and can be used to bless working tools, charms, spells and people as part of initiation or ascendancy rituals.

There seems to be confusion about the actual recipe itself though. Both proportions and ingredients have been muddled in translation from German to English, specifically the use of galangal or calamus. Both S. L Mathers and Aleister Crowley recommend galangal, particularly because it represents for them, ‘both Kether and Malkuth, the First and the Last, the One and the Many.’

The original recipe suggests using raw ingredients as part of a maceration, but Crowley advocated the use of essential oils. Our version uses both, in a subtle blend that is suitable for application to the skin (please see our standard recommendation about testing for allergy before use) as well as charms, spells and magickal items. We also like to leave raw ingredients in our bottles, as we have found that this adds to the magickal charge of our preparations. We also double consecrate all our oils, using previous batches to make the next one, for the same reason.

Magic Money Jar Spell

Magic Money Jar Spell

This has been working rather well for me so try it out yourself. Take a jar and fill it with coins, some basil and cinnamon and magic money oil. Seal it with gold or silver ribbon. Stand in a window so that it can be energised by the sun and moon, and give it a shake each day.

Dragon’s Blood Ink

A long time ago I was reaching across my desk for something and withdrew my hand quickly because I thought I had burned it on a candle. It was only then that I realised I had not even got a candle let alone a lit one on my desk. I felt around again with my hand and the heat source turned out to be a pentagram drawn on normal paper in Dragon’s Blood Ink that I had been testing out earlier.

Dragon's Blood Ink

Dragon’s Blood Ink is made from the bright red resin that is obtained from the Dracaena or Daemonorops species of plants. The resin itself is used in African-American folk magic for wealth or love whilst the ink is used to inscribe magical talismans and sigils. When you write with Dragon’s Blood Ink, put your hand just above the writing afterwards and you will notice the heat that it gives off. Next time you write a cheque or sign a piece of work off with your signature think what power you are putting into those few drops of ink on paper. You are actually giving that piece of work or monetary transfer your name, your seal if you like.

Cerdwyn’s Cauldron Dragon’s Blood Ink comes complete with its own unique personal power spell scroll describing how you can create your own sigil to sign off your spells and charms and add that extra magical oomph.

Candle Dressing and Anointing

Candle Anointing Oil

You can anoint candles in two ways. Either rub the Candle Anointing Oil upwards and downwards onto the candle, from the centre out for sending magick or from the top and bottom towards the centre for receiving magick. Either way you should focus on the intent and expectation of the spell whilst annointing your candle, keeping a picture in mind or chanting words that sum up the intent or dedicate that candle to the spell or a particular deity. This not only sets your candle out as something special you are going to use in your magick but also creates the scene and starts your magick working from the word go.

Cerdwyn’s Cauldron Ink Black Spell

Hold a silver spoon in the flame of a black candle until it turns black.Carefully scrape this black soot into a small amount of water. Repeat this a number of times until the water is black. For best results add a few drops of Raven’s Feather Ink. Think about the most negative thing in your life, something you wish to change or loose and choose a picture or word that best sums that up. Write that picture or word on piece of Spell Paper and carefully burn it in the flame of the back candle. It is always best to never re-use the same spell and componants, unless it is a repetition spell. This way your magic becomes special, has more meaning and is more effective.

Stone Circles: Gateways To The Gods?

The question of who constructed the ancient and sacred sites of England and indeed the world, and more importantly, why? has vexed modern historians and archaeologists alike for well over a century and yet the answer may be found in mathematics that is thousands of years old, and up to the minute science that is arriving at remarkable conclusions and world shaking results every second.
When science and spirituality went hand in hand, explaining the mysteries of the universe, Pythagoras was credited with discovering the mathematical and sacred properties of the simple triangle and circle, even though these are demonstrated in Egyptian and much older architecture and design.

The relationship between the triangle and circle not only goes a long way to explaining the curious effect of sacred space on the human psychology and psyche but ties directly into the fundamental laws of the inter-dimensional cosmos and maybe even affects our ability to access and travel it.

Like Pythagoras, quantum theory seeks a singular particle of existence, the building block of the universe if you like, giving it the name quark . Upon discovery it was found that these quarks were actually pairs of particles in constant vibration, which therefore demonstrated the properties of both a solid and a wave.

What we now know is that the matter of the universe is actually energy, and furthermore, quantum scientists conclude that not only does this energy display a form of consciousness but that it seems to be arranged in a matrix like structure, exactly like the Pythagorean points of reference at multidimensional right angles to each other.
This matrix structure of energy defines the physical world that we sense around us and of course us, our bodies, as well and yet we don’t seem to be aware of it! In actuality our brain and senses process all this information but project it holographically in such a way that makes sense to us as matter, light, electricity, sound, gravity etc.

If we take a stone circle as an example of a sacred space it is possible to perceive that each stone could represent the points of various two dimensional structures like the Pythagorean circle and triangle. Because the stones are actually energy structures in themselves, they are interacting with the energy that defines this planet, and indeed universe, generating more forms of energy at multi-dimensional right angles and making universal connections to the stars and other dimensions. Coincidentally they connect to us as well, especially when in the close vicinity or inside of these sacred spaces.

Energetically to us then, sacred spaces manifest standing waves of light, sound and various energies of particular frequency that have an effect on our physical self, and which cause anomalies such as time distortion, out of body experiences and a range of psychological effects. On top of that, we effectively become part of their energy fields and their inter-dimensional connection, allowing us, with the right understanding and balance of our own energetic states, to follow that connection to other inter, or indeed inner-dimensional states of being.

Is it not possible that at their time of construction, ancient sacred sites were not only aligned to stars, and maybe other dimensions, because mankind was aware of the inter-dimensional function of the energy that creates our world of matter and therefore that the sites themselves could be used as gateways to these inter-dimensional states. Furthermore, since the entire of creation is what we have named God then maybe these sites are access to what the Esoterics call Godhead and what some refer to as bliss .

What I believe is happening here is that the proportional dimensions of sacred spaces, defined by their component material parts, create or amplify particular frequencies, much in the same way that the relative position of holes in a tube create sound frequencies when the tube is blown that correspond to a musical scale.

In a stone circle it is the king or key stone that fulfils a similar role to the Pythagorean reference point in its interaction with the parent circle in defining how the circle can be used to access multi dimensional space. By accessing and using certain techniques hidden in esoteric lore that have been passed down from generation to generation, we can not only become aware of those frequencies and energies but interact with them and finally take charge of our own destinies and walk through the gateway to the gods.

Van Van Oil and Chinese Wash

Van Van Oil

Made to an old Hoodoo recipe, Van Van Oil is excellent for ridding negative energy, adding psychic and occult protection and changing bad luck to good.
Chinese wash is made by adding Van van Oil to a detergent mix with the secret ingrediant of broom straws. Since our Van Van Oil not only already includes broom but comes with a fresh sprig, then it is ready to make your very own version. Simply add to washing up liquid or any cleanser, dilute with water and away you go:

Chinese Wash is used in rites of protection; in spiritual house-cleansings; to clean away messes left by enemy root workers; to open the way for new beginnings; and to purify the home in the interests of maintaining marital fidelity and a peaceful home, keeping rooms rented, or attracting customers to a bawdy-house or private gambling den.’
Wash the house from the top floor to the bottom floor, and from the back of each floor to the front, ending at last at the front doorstep. To dispose of the left-over wash water, throw it out the front door or into the front yard, toward the East, if possible.

African folk magical tradition suggests that when you have finished cleansing your space you should throw the broom straws out into the yard.

After cleaning the premises outward with Chinese Wash, it is also customary to wash the path and front door entryway inward with a small amount of water in which you have stirred some herb-based hoodoo oils for various luck-drawing conditions, such as Attraction, Magic Money Drawing, Fast Luck or a home-made mixture such as cinnamon for wealth or sugar for sweet things.
